Effective Date: November 1, 2026

Spud Software, Inc. ("Spud Software," "we," "our," or "us") operates the website at https://spudsoftware.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information through the Site. It applies to this corporate website, not to customer-operated SpudERP environments or other services governed by separate agreements or notices.

Information we collect

Information you provide.

When you contact us, we collect the name, business email address, and message you submit. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in a general inquiry.

Information collected automatically.

When you visit the Site, our systems may process your IP address, browser and device information, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, and information about use of Site pages or features. We may use browser local storage to maintain a website session identifier. Server and hosting logs may also record technical request information.

Bot protection.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form when configured. This service may process a verification token and technical information, including an IP address, to help identify automated submissions.

How we use information

We use this information to respond to inquiries, maintain records of business communications, operate and secure the Site, prevent spam or abuse, understand Site usage, troubleshoot problems, and improve our website and services. We may use information as necessary to comply with applicable law and protect legitimate business interests.

Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers to operate the Site and handle inquiries. Depending on the feature, these may include Microsoft Azure for hosting, SendGrid for email delivery, Cloudflare for bot verification, and ipapi.co for approximate IP-based location information. These providers may process information on our behalf in connection with their services. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a legitimate business transaction subject to applicable law. We do not use the Site's contact form to enroll visitors in an SMS marketing program.

Cookies and browser storage

The Site may use local storage, including a session identifier, and technical storage or cookies associated with hosting and security providers. You can manage certain storage and cookie settings through your browser; disabling them may affect some features.

Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including responding to inquiries, operating the Site, maintaining appropriate business records, and meeting legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of record and applicable requirements. We do not state a fixed retention period that has not been verified.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information appropriate to its nature. No website or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your privacy choices

You may contact us at info@spudsoftware.com to ask about personal information associated with your inquiry or to request access, correction, or deletion. We will review and respond to requests in accordance with applicable law, including any applicable exceptions. You can also control certain browser storage settings directly.
